I’ve gotten a bit behind on posting my World-Herald reviews on the blog. I’ve got two to share, then I’ll do a new post, promise. First up: the Omaha Cheesecake Bakery, which I reviewed in early August.
The short form: At first glance, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the Omaha Cheesecake bakery. But after tasting the desserts — think super caloric indulgence type desserts — and talking to the owner who has a decidedly old-school mentality, it won me over.
Above are the desserts I shared with my co-workers: Tiramisu cake, Boston Cream Pie, New York Style Cheesecake and Lemon Diner cake. The newsroom’s favorite was the Boston Cream Pie. I also really liked the dense, creamy cheesecake.
