Vintage Cookbooks from my Grandma’s collection

Last week I dug through a box of cookbooks that my grandmother gave me and unearthed some real gems. I’ve written before about my love of vintage cookbooks, especially church cookbooks. I found a few of those. But I also found a copy of the Storz Brewery cookbook and a classic Crisco cookbook with charming illustrations. Thanks, Grandma!

A great old ad from the Storz book.

I would not have guessed “Food of the Gods” included cracker crumbs.

From the Crisco cookbook.

“Cookery for Men” apparently has always meant “grilling.”

Stylish! From the Sioux City cookbook.

In case you need to make ham loaf for 20o or chipped beef hot dish for 100.
